KINESTHETIC PRIMER BOARD (K-BOARD)

Stand on the Kboard using these methods.  Try to get at least 10-15 minutes a day on the boards to develop your balance.

1.) Feet parallel to 2x4
 2.) Feet perpendicular to 2x4
 3.) Squats while parallel
 4.) Squats while perpendicular
 5.) Jumping off from parallel
 6.) Jumping on to parallel
 7.) Jumping from K-board to K-board
8.) Jumping onto an elevated K-board

OCCULAR MOTOR DEVELOPMENT

Repeat any or all of the above exercises while having the subject focus on an object such as  a tennis ball.  Move the ball left and right, up and down across the subject's field of vision.  Subject should focus on the ball using only his eyes.  Do not allow the subject to move his head to follow the ball.  Subject’s head should remain still and stable at all times.

Repeat any or all of the drills while throwing a ball to the subject.  Subject should catch the ball with one or both hands depending upon where the ball is thrown.  Subject should track the movements of the ball using only the eyes.  Do not allow the subject to move the head to follow the movement of the ball.

Repeat any or all of the above exercises with the subject holding one eye shut.  Use the ball again to force eye tracking with a stable head and neck.  Repeat for other eye.

ADVANCED PROPRIOCEPTION

Repeat any or all of the K-board exercises while holding both eyes shut.  This requires a high degree of skill and should only be practiced when the other drills have been mastered.  If the subject is able to catch a ball with both eyes shut and remain balanced on the board, you can pretty much forget about having them walk the rice paper with no sound, they'll do THAT easily.
